David Broussard

David Broussard is from Boutte, LA and received his B.S. in Computer Science from ULL in 2021. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree, and his research interests include visualization and human-computer interaction in VR. Outside of this research, he enjoys tinkering with and studying computer graphics, video game development, and occasionally other topics as wide-ranging as audio synthesis and FPGA development.
Current research is focused on an educational chemistry simulation project, which aims to develop interaction and display techniques to foster understanding of introductory chemistry concepts. Other works include an educational system for estimating and visualizing student states for teachers in educational VR environments and a geological visualization tool for collaboratively navigating and annotating large datasets. Some of these works have evolved into full-fledged research projects conducted in collaboration with other lab members.
